The pen itself has directions along the side if you need a reminder. Grasp the pen with the orange tip pointing downward, and remove the blue safety cap by pulling straight up. Place the orange tip against the middle of the outer thigh, and swing and push the auto-injector firmly into the thigh until it clicks. Hold firmly in place for 3 seconds.
