Help! I missed a combination pill. What should I do?Updated a year ago

You have the highest risk of ovulating when you have a hormone free period of > 7 days.

If you missed a dose in the 1st week, you should you use back-up contraception if needed until 7 consecutive days of correct use.

If you missed less than 3 doses in the 2nd or 3rd week, take your pill ASAP.

If you missed 3 doses in the 2nd/3rd week, you should also use back-up contraception until 7 days of consecutive use. You should also skip the hormone free interval for that cycle if you miss any pill in the 2nd or 3rd week of hormones.
